The city of Berea has asked Madison Circuit Court to dismiss the lawsuit of former police officer Billy Beavers.Beavers, a lieutenant who had served 12 years on the police force, sued the city, its mayor and police chief last month, seeking re-instatement to his job plus lost wages.
