Here's the scene: a guy decides to turn himself in and confess his crimes to the police. Most of them are recent (and there's plenty of evidence of them), but one of the things he confesses happened 15 years ago, was done in another state, and there's no evidence beyond his confession. He also tells the police his wife was involved in that 15-year-old crime (which was drug dealing). She denies it. My question is, can either of them be charged with that old crime? Would the police even question her about it?
