After I am finished issuing you a notice to appear, you may come back to the passenger side of my patrol vehicle and look in the window. It is mounted on the dash and you can see it from there.
(Then you write this info on your copy of the ticket for court. My judge figures it out pretty quick when I tell them that I showed the person the radar. Judge seems to figure they are GUILTY for some reason) :p
Their eyes get real big most of the time when they see the AR15 laying on the passenger seat also.
on a recent ridealong the officer i rode with (on traffic) ALWAYS shows his radar to the speeder partly because its a radar gun and its not attached to anything.
he does this so they they know how fast they are going and are less likeley to take him to court with the ticket.
you wanna see my radar? Sure no problem hold on let me go put it in writing for you.
Press hard 5 copies.
Here where im from in Canada, if the officer refuses to display the radar reading, it can be used against him in court, and 9 out of 10 times the ticket will be thrown.
I just realized how old this thread was, my apologies.
