Thin Blue Line Plate in North Carolina

Im living in North Carolina and I just bought a Crown Victoria Police Interceptor to replace my first car and it has a license plate mount in front and I thought about putting the "Thin Blue Line" plate on the front of the car to kinda give it a cop-ish look, but in no means am I trying to impersonate one and also to show my respect to the men and women in blue. Is it legal in North Carolina or no?

If NC only requires one plate to be displayed, then you can put anything you want in the front spot.

It's not a good idea, however - unless you don't care about your car getting trashed by recently arrested thugs with a grudge.

I wouldn't suggest putting ANYTHING on it that could make it appear as though you were a police officer.

1. The local dirtbags will have fun with your car during your abasence.

2. The police will presume you are a " wannabe " and you may find yourself being scrutinized by them.

3. Why would anyone want a used police car that has NO DOUBT seen a HARD life and was no longer wanted by the agency that had it ??

I'm not buying that you don't want it to look like a police car. Did you have a thin blue line plate on your previous car? If not then why all the sudden do you find it necessary after purschasing a car that will look like an unmarked police car?

And as for the police interceptor plate, you seem to be trying pretty hard to make it known that your car is, or once was, a police car.

Crown Vic is a pretty big car. Do you carpool with 5 other people? Which person do you hate enough to put in the backseat of a former police car?

If you want to support the police, walk in and ask what their chairtable fund is, sometimes a widow and children's fund, sometimes a union fund and sometimes a camp fund. You don't need to advertise on your car or pretend to be something your not. Support them with cash or volunteer to help out at the station/with a program they run.

Im not gonna put a plate on it, hearing that people may vandilize it aswell as yeah I dont want it to appear that im impersonating a cop, and in no way do i want to be a "wannabe" I may just put a Ford SVT plate on the front

We like those and DARE license plates.
Usually we get suspended drivers licenses
and persons with WARRANTS out of them...
