    Looking for good websites

Are there any good examples of security and police related websites that appeal to descision makers in the security industry? Do you like flash websites or sites that get to the point?

I am a decision maker, and I like THIS website.

    Does that help?

No I am not here for that, I work for a large security company that does private work for police and government agencies. I am in the process of reasearching websites that may appeal to the people we work with, what to avoid, flash, animations, bandwidth heavy graphics, etc. And what to do, styling, etc...

    Thanks

Most of us here are cops who come here to network, or citizens who have an interest in law enforcement (which, as I'm sure you're already aware, is a different field from private security). Not to suggest you're not welcome here, but I don't believe this site - or its members - have any of what you're looking for. If you find this site to your liking for what it offers, welcome aboard, otherwise I'd suggest doing a Google search to find what you're looking for.

I understand, thanks. As I said we deal with LEO's every day as well as Sheriff's departments. We are active with the NSA as well. I was simply looking for some guidance and real world opinions from people such as your self. Google is not really a good source for opinions on what I am looking for. Hopefully you'll understand. I found a ton of usefull information on this site and also would be interested in sponsorship opportunities. Since you are a moderator maybe we can email offline for some more information.

    Thanks

Moderators just keep the discussions civil, you would actually need to discuss that with a site administrator. Our site admins are FBINA188 and realpolicecs, both of whom you may contact directly via the site's Private Message function. They should be able to provide specifics about site sponsorship/advertising.

You gave it up to quick man! Youd cold have scored a $1K Paypal payment and then told him you were just the "doorman" and now that he is in the club, he needs to find the bartenders and pay for his own drinks to him. Disappointed in you.....wasted opportunity!

You were wise to not self advertise, as that would be viewed as spam and against site rules. Thank you for having the common sense and courtesy others have not had.

If the link is essentially an advertisement for another law enforcement website, it's a violation of site rules and you'd have to remove it. If it's not for another law enforcement website or competitor to this one (i.e. one that sells cop gear), it should be okay, but it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to run it by our site admin, FBINA188, and get his approval first.
