Not to burst any bubbles here, but one day of training and two days of OJT does not properly prepare anyone for the pitfalls of vicarious and/or personal liability.

This career is not a sprint, it is a marathon.
Yeah, I'm originally from CT, and in my state we had to do a 16 hour course and 80 hours on OJT(still a joke)...yet we still had the crazies who carried four pairs of cuffs and wanted to fight every teenager they saw. If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing "Observe and Report" with Seth Rogen, go rent it from the ol' Red Box. It is frighteningly accurate in portrayal in some cases. Not all mall guards I worked with were like that, but there were enough that were to give the rest of them their current stigma....
Want me to punch-a-size your face...for free?
I dont do mall security, but do wal-mart ap in NY. Working there for six months i learned you can usually just talk your way out of bad situations.
Dpauly,
This thread was last posted on during January 2010, and was about mall security. We are happy to have you here, but we tend to shy away from playing in old threads, so I will close this thread. Feel free to start a new topic if you wish about AP/LP on the forum.
Thanks!
