Obama can't remember who he pinned MoH on.

Commander In Chief Misspeaks About Soldier Killed in Afghanistan

Okay I think this says everything I need to know about Obama and the military.

I believe there is only one person that he has ever pinned the medal on that was wearing a uniform. One. Everybody else he presented it to was a relative and the list was short. He apparently can't remember his name.

This chaps my hide a bit.

Folks it should have been the most humbling, proudest and emotional moment in his presidency to actually meet the person who deserved this honor and shake his hand. Let alone actually pin it on him. In a crowded room, I would have hoped the commander in chief would be able to recognize him and call him by name as he was privileged to meet him.

Sadly this is not the case. Obama recalled to the 10th Mountain Division how he met and pinned the medal on their compatriot Jared Monti. This must have come as quite a shock to the soldiers that saw Monti sacrifice his life to retrieve a fellow soldier.

Salvatore Giunta is the MoH recipient Obama had the honor of presenting the award to in person. He should be easy to remember. I simply don't see how he could not remember the greatest privilege he has ever had. Disrespectful and dishonorable.

Tell me if I am overreacting. If not, this needs to go viral. I hope there is video.

And my parents wonder why that I keep saying that when I hit my 20 I'm going to get out if he's not voted out of office.

    Unbelieavable.

Obama reminds me a lot of Clinton, only he's not as bright. Both made (make) their decisions as president framed around present and future campaigns rather than what's good for the nation. I didn't agree with a lot of Bush's decisions, but I always believed that they were all based on what he thought was beneficial to the country, not his electability. Both Obama and Clinton are self serving as hell and I don't believe give a rat's @ss about this nation.

Even Carter was a much better person than either one of them. I think Carter was a terrible president, but I believe he did what he thought was the right thing to do. While I wholeheartedly disagreed with almost all of it, I didn't see him as narcissistic as many and I think he really believed he was doing the right thing. Where Clinton and Obama seem to govern on what they believe public opinion wants, both Carter and Bush stood up did what they believed in regardless. Neither read the newest poll before they made a decision affecting the nation. That being said, I think Carter's still a twit and needs to keep his mouth shut. He's still out in la la land, but at least the country was able to recognize that immediately after he took office.

Clinton sold out this country's satellite and missile technology to the Chinese Army for a donation to the DNC. To me that was treason. I have no doubt that Obama would do the same thing in a heartbeat if there was some gain for him in it personally.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Absolutely disgraceful! Unfortunately this is the "president" that we have and he along with lots of other politicians see the military are a means to further their personal agendas.

I especially liked this part of his speech: "Throughout my service, first as a senator and then as a presidential candidate and then as a President, I’ve always run into you guys. And for some reason it’s always in some rough spots..."
I know its technically semantics, but its really irritating that he would use the word service. Why couldn't he just say "through the years I have met with you several times" or something like that. Why does it always have to be about him..."My" service, "I've" always run into you guys. And yes I suppose being a candidate is in act of service to America, but really? Way to pad your embarrassingly short resume there Obama. Oh and btw Mr. Obama....your level of service will NEVER match what the men and women in our military do on a daily basis. So stop making us sick with your pathetic attempts to impress us.

When you're in any kind of political position, I think semantics should carry a lot of weight. You would think Obama would be more methodical in his choice of words with the feedback he's been getting as of late...but his arrogance is just taking over more and more with every incident.

I'll bet a case of beer he could name every entertainer he has met in the white house since he assumed the position of POTUS...

And my parents wonder why that I keep saying that when I hit my 20 I'm going to get out if he's not voted out of office.
Between the Bush administrations' adoption of a "kinder gentler" approach to war...which doesn't work, members of congress calling us "terrorists", the adoption and proliferation of rampant "political correctness" by senior military leadership, and the American people electing an inexperienced Marxist as the commander in chief, I figured the time had come to pop smoke once I hit 20. A man's gotta know his limitations.

I've got 2 years before I hit 20. I'm in a holding pattern to see what is going to happen to see if I am going to flee early or not.

One more thing to irk me about him. You get the honor of placing the nation's highest award for valor around the neck of a LIVING recipient of the a current war.....and you can't even remember his name....wow.

I have lived here in the USA basically a decade from Japan...and it makes me sick how Obama acts..he is sub-human.. His arrogance by far makes me want to slap him. Not only that, the way he speaks he sounds like a complete moron. I can't believe people actually voted for this.."man" if that's what you want to call him..

Nations highest honor and you can't remember his name?!?!?! This is just one more reason I didn't vote for the idiot. HE doesn't have any indication about what the military actually means to the American public otherwise he would actually know this hero's name. I also agree that she will fit in just fine here.

When Obama bowed to Japan's emperor..I just had no words but to shake my head. but then again he does that to all these middle eastern countries too..Mr. Hussein Obama. And he wants to take my money and go by his theory "equal work is equal pay" that's China's motto! communism. His "Distribution of Wealth" is theft and nothing more...he won't get my hard earned american money. I'm paying for the Lexus I drive (well, it is used lol) and the new house I live in, and I dont want his or the government's "Help".
