While the US press gives us constant updates on Charlie Sheen

The press in other countries are reporting on real life events. Here are some graphic pictures from Japan from the UK Daily Mail. Horrible tragedy over there.

Speechless to say the least. That is beyond anything I could have ever dreamed up and I feel so sorry for those involved. One of the only 'positives' I can see that is coming from this, is the humanitarian efforts that have resulted. Other countries who may have not been 'best buds' with Japan are starting to put some of their differences aside in wake of this tragedy to offer (some) level of support.

I have to admit: I laughed at the big *** boat sitting on top of a house about 3/4 of the way down. You just don't see that every day...

Who cares about Charlie Sheen? He's "winning" (on drugs and unemployed).

The disaster is terrible. The looks I see of the faces of my Japanese friends has no description in the english language, but mourning, solidarity, and shock come to mind. It remands me of 9-11 if everyone in the country had personally known someone who died.

What do you expect from 24 news networks? All they do is comment on what the AP writes. The second the quake was reported on Fox (I happened to by passing by the TV at the time) I waited for them to report on whether a Tsunami was headed toward me (I live in Hawai'i). When they didn't after 20 minutes I checked the web, and sure enough...
It shouldn't mater whether you are left, right, or center. Newspapers have stayed in business for a reason.
