I've always liked Ben Stein's take on things...
"Surrounded by ***-kissers"
Classic!

Yes, Stein is always great to listen to. I like Cavuto, too, but there are only so many hours in the day. He's got a really dry sense of humor, like Stein.

Reality vs Culture. Spot the differences.
This has got to be straight out of the CNN scriptbook
Whether you agree with most of what Rush says or not, you have to admit he makes some very good points in this:
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.-Samuel Adams
Wherever they burn books they will also, in the end, burn human beings.-Heinrich Heine

I haven't heard Rush in quite a long time. I can only take him in bits & pieces most of the time, but this is a good and terrific piece.![]()

I might be the only person who finds this amusing (being the musical dork I am), but I figured I'd share.
And this one...well, I watched it a long time ago, but I thought it was interesting. And a little nauseating.

Yeah, Mary Joe is supporting Kennedy's Bill.
I'm sending that one out in an email.
The funny thing is that my "Welsh History Professor" Cousin out at Denver U is the very same way. We get along, have the same likes/dislikes, etc, but we are polar opposites in our Politics.
Fortunately, she is too busy writing "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" lesson plans to go to anti-Tea Parties or to protest Sarah Palin.

Every left-leaning friend I have tends to be too busy whining/complaining about Bush or right-wing "extremists" to take initiative to change the things they dislike about America. The only initiative I have ever seen them take was during the last Presidential election. I have one friend who's going to a university in Massachusetts, and she was complaining about how Scott Brown was elected...YET she didn't go out and vote. Furthermore, she couldn't cite a single issue she disagreed with in regards to Brown's stances and not a single issue she agreed with Coakley's. She wasn't immensely familiar with either candidate; however, she felt that a Republican going into office could be trouble.![]()
These days, anyone going to public office can be trouble. None of them have my full backing. The Republican's have a lot of making up to do before we finally break the habit of voting more against a candidate than for one.![]()
For me, before there was the Thin Blue Line, there was the Blood Stripe! Semper Fi!

**DISCLAIMER** I'm not a current LEO, but have six years experience with two city PD's in NC and TX as a sworn officer. I'm in the process of returning to LEO work ASAP.
