Should a presidential candidate be required to pass an FBI background check?
In addition to being a natural born citizen, at least 35 years of age and a 14 year resident of the US do you believe a presidential candidate should also be required to pass an FBI background check prior to being authorized to run for the presidency?

I think it should go further, and require them to go through the process for a TS clearance. They will be receiving that level of information so I don't think we should just grant them one because they get elected.

My question is this: Those that have access to the POTUS are required to have a "Yankee White" background check.....Does not make sense the POTUS isn't cleared to speak to himself?

My question is this: Those that have access to the POTUS are required to have a "Yankee White" background check.....Does not make sense the POTUS isn't cleared to speak to himself?
During a time of war my wife was a cryptanalyst (I won't say which war as a woman hates to have her age divulged ) the FBI checked her out and kept an eye on her from the day she was born til the day she got her discharge. When we got married 2 CID agents tailed us all day and the next morning were sitting in the hotel lobby when we went down for breakfast. I knew one of them and gave him a when we walked into the dining
room.
Since this man and most people think he's a god, he does't need a clearance.
