I took my cjbat today!!! Boy that was a big waste of nerves! I know for a fact that I missed one question about a person's occupation but besides that it was incredibly easy. Basically if you passed the first grade you should be able to pass this! I have to wait a week or so for my results to be mailed back and for them to call me. I guess I'll let you know whether I passed first grade or not!

I just took the TABE this morning and have to take the CJBAT tomorrow. I have graduated from college and am already certified as a LEO in FL and OK. This system is so redundant. At least I know not to get too worried about it being hard

If you are already certified as a LEO in Florida, why are you taking the CJBAT? Didn't meet the 4 year requirement of having a job after graduating the academy, or are a former LEO?

In the name of keeping your thread alive cntryboy, I'll ask this question since it's been on my mind. Does your CJBAT score really help you get a job or is it more of a "You passed, so you can go to the academy" type thing? I'm looking for any edge I can find to highlight when I apply. I graduate college in December, I have 8 1/2 years of service in the Army, a decent work history prior to that, and I got a 101 on my CJBAT. Is it worth noting or patting myself on the back or, should I just let it go because it's not that big a deal. I kind of wish that departments went off scores like they do in other states. That would at least help my chances.

It's pretty much a "You passed and you can go to the academy" deal. How you do in the Academy is way more beneficial to an agency than the CJBAT score. Only way I can see it doing anything for you is if you are looking to be sponsored and have a department pay for your academy training (doesn't happen too frequently around here), and they are looking at it as part of the hiring criteria. Otherwise, "You passed and you can go to the academy".
