Motorola HT 1000 portables for sale

My PD JUST switched over to 500 mhz trunked radios last night and we are now interested in selling off our stock of Motorola HT 1000 portable radios.

They are 16 channel, programmable , 5 watt , 7 in flex antenna , some have a shoulder mic, belt clip , VHF 136-174 mhz range ( can be used as ham radios) and some individual chargers as well as bank chargers capable of charging 8 radios at a time.

All radios show signs of use but ALL work well. We stoppde using them as of last night.

PM or email if interested. I cannot give them away and will be using on-line information to set a price ( which then has to be approved by the chief).

I don't remember model numbers, are those the ones with the top side orange panic button with lcd readout as to what channel it's on. (A-B-C, 1-16 channels?)

or are they the older ones programmable by crystals only?

Top has A-B-C positions for the scan, no scan and " page " feature. There is also the orange emergency button ( that we never used).

Not sure how the programmable feature is done.

Model # is H01KDC9AA3DN Made in Malaysia

thx, I'm not a HAM operator: I was just trying to remember if that was the same model I had. We did use the orange button if needed, and if I remember right: the station programmed channels by some accessory dongal and a computer (I never got the suprvsr or SWAT channels on mine of course).

I think you should be able to get at least 50-100+ a piece for them if you sold them as a set or your boss still has the programming software.

    :D

Have you determined what price you will be asking? I am interested in one unit with radio, battery, charger and power supply, and belt clip. A shoulder mic would be nice but not necessary.

    Thanks

These are the radios we use. If you set a price, let me know and I will pass it along to our "radio guy". (though the budget for everything else this year has been cut, so it'll probably be the same for radio equipment) :(

We are having " issues " with our new Ma/Com radios and although they now appear to have been mainly fixed, he wants to make SURE they are 100% before selling off these units.

I will advise when he advises me.

I was at the PA FOP Winter Board meeting last weekend and there was talk of a lawsuit against MA/COM for their radio system failures statewide. You may be hanging on to them a little longer then you thought.
