I am looking to purchase a badge, and it has P.T.L. where the name banner would be, but I have no clue what that would mean, and I am hoping someone may tell me. My only guess is that it would mean patrol, but why would they have it abbreviated and not spelt out...

Thats why I have not bought it yet. I currently have a collection of about 120 badges from Minnesota, and this badge is a wallet badge from Lindstrom Minnesota, a defunct department, and hard to get item. Also, the badge is a good price not too expensive and being a college student, that is a good thing.
I simply asked if anyone knew what it meant, I have not purchased this yet, I just don't know what p.t.l. means.

The badges in my hometown say "Patrolman" for Patrolman...so I would guess Patrol.
