    Well, since an LEO started this thread, there was an article in "Police Magazine" a year or two ago, where a food handler at a hamburger resturant poisoned a cop's hamburger with Visine. The Chief pulled a raid on the place, and several food handlers had Visine in their pockets.

    I forget the title of the article, but it was about the hazards of cops eating out in uniform - Will be obvious if you see it.

    EDIT: I found one version of the story in July 2005 Police Magazine on-line ("Watch What You Eat") that MAY be it, but I don't think this is the complete article - The one I saw talked about Visine, but I don't see it mentioned here (may have been a sidebar):

    I found some info in Snopes.com after reading that article about Visine... The rumors about it causing the runs are apparently false, but it's a serious poison that can cause permanent damage.
