Attached is my rifle with an X400 on it. I thought about a vertical grip, but the barrel is so long that that would place the light in front of the barrel and it would get covered in soot. So, I use the mag well for grip and have replaced the X400 base plate to allow me to use a pressure pad. It seems to work adequately.
I was entertaining a Surefire Scout that I could mount on the side, but my buddy really watned the X400 and we put them on one purchase order. With the laser, that is not an option. :(
I love the EoTech. Note that this one has the buttons on the side, allowing me to not have to worry about leaving room to access them when I throw things in front of it. I will be shifting everything forward so that I can have room for my NV mount. I wouldn't mind a magnifier, but it is hardly necessary with such a short-barreled rifle.
