Never even knew there was such a thing.
First things that come to mind are: 1) Excess moisture as sweat runs down my leg (it IS an electronic device...) and 2) static electricity generated by the pant leg fabric rubbing against that. It can cause the cartridge to discharge.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.
"Wrong door, buddy!"
Let no man's ghost say my training failed him.

The TASER Instructor in my would recommend against it for the above reasons -occasional use or not.
It only takes a couple seconds to generate enough static electricity that will create a spark. You won't have any advanced notice before the cartridge goes off. If you find something that's static-proof fabric, then I'd have much less of an issue.
Additionally, the moisture or condensation that results from leg sweat or ambient humidity can short out the X26 if you don't pay attention to the state of the seals on your DPM as well as perform daily spark checks.
Really, ankle carry for this isn't any better than tossing it in your pocket.

Well, the reason I'm looking for something is because I don't always like only having my G27 when Offduty and would like to have something other than deadly force available. The normal style holsters are too bulky, which is intentional since they contain the probes of course.

Be careful with this thinking. I just went to a US DOJ seminar on use of force and really looking at of duty encounters with LEO's.
What is your agency SOP for off duty interaction? Most agencies state not getting involved unless there is immediate harm to human life. If there is harm to human life, we should be pulling a gun, not a taser. I don't care if the victim is young, old or mentally challenged. If it is a knucklehead acting stupid and I am off duty, I am going to call 911 and be a excellent witness. Getting involved off duty in a situation where I would have to use less than lethal force is not happening. If need be, my gun pointed at them is less than lethal force. If they don't comply, well, that just may be a circumstance that leads me to conclude it is now a lethal situation.
Besides, as a firearms instructor and guy who has been through several external shooting academies, ankle holsters have limited use for any weapon: vehicle surveillance, ops where you are sitting, and the place for your second back-up gun. I have seen some of the best shooters in the world try to get the gun out in time wearing ankle holsters and none have done it. Additionally, unless you are going to train hard getting it out, it is a waste. With any other holster you can move to cover and draw at the same time. Ankle holsters do not allow you that option. So you spend time as a sitting duck.....not something I want or encourage.
If you are going for a gun or taser off duty, you are probably reacting to something. Reaction always takes longer than action. With the the number of other holster options out there today and advancement in IWB's and concealed body holsters, you might want to rethink the idea.
-In God we trust. All others, put your hands on the car and don't move.
