You might want to take a look at the Wolf-Eyes brand. Very solid light on the same quality as SF.

Nice, I do carry 3 flashlights now, Ultrastinger, stinger xp and my 6p (no add-ons). I don't carry my main light on my belt (or ring), I carry it in a side pocket. I go through a lot of bulbs on the Ultra, the xp isn't bright enough unless for close searches and the 6p you have to mess with batteries. I guess it's all about what works for you. Good point about the 3 emitters on the 5.11.
Integrity is doing the right thing even when people aren't looking.
Sorry I'm so ignorant, but what is a 6p/7p? Is that a quality or a part number?

There is a LE store located in Clackamas, OR who deal with Stream Light, Pelican and Sure Fire. They even have LE prices.. Extreme-Products.net
I would recommend the Streamlight LED stinger. The new technology is the C4 lamps which doubles the original lumens. Give them a shot and they can help you. The store is actually owned by a local Police Officer, so he knows what will work for you.
From what I can see, the Malkoff head uses the Seoul P4 LED, but Seoul's P7 LED is basically four P4 led's in one package, so it's brighter (I'm talking about the LED component itself, not the flashlight part number).
See: http://www.seoulsemicon.com/en/prCen...iew.asp?seq=45
The specs on the P7 LED go up to about 900 Lumens, but of course there's loss in the reflector, lens, etc - plus a small flashlight doesn't necessarily push the P7 to full power because of the heat problem (dissipates about 11 watts, enough to get very hot), and the fact that it needs almost 3 amps to get to full brightness, reducing battery life.
Still, the P7 led is something to watch for in the newer flashlights... That no-name tac light I bought for $50 with the P7 is super bright (even though it's not driven anywhere close to 900 lumens) and still works, but I can tell that the switch is cheaply made. I doubt that it would survive a car running over it, or being dropped on concrete either, but I'm sure that good quality brands will eventually come out with P7 led's.
