When you guys iron your shirts do you put a crease through the shoulder patch, or just above it and down the sleeve, leaving the patch flat?
I can't say I'm a big fan of the creased patch, but if that's how it's supposed to be I'll do it.

Good question, I was just wondering the same thing...
When I took my uniform to the Cleaners, they never did it. So yeah...
There's 100's of agencies on here, all of whom have different ways of maintaining your uniform. Be a little more specific of the agency you're asking about.
As for my agency we don't iron the patch, we actually don't iron at all, our shirts have permanent creases in them.

I'm not asking about a specific agency, just how it's done in general, i.e. West coast style (if there is a style).

Ya I'm not a fan of an ironed patch either. I've seen a couple that were ironed asymmetrically an it looked like trash. And seeing as how our patches are circular, it might not be the best thing, aesthetically speaking. I think I'll just iron above and below and leave it flat.

I crease my patches. IMHO I think it looks neater and more put together when you crease the patch with the crease in the sleeve.
There will be many different opinions on this. It's just a preference.
