    Brite-Strike Flashlight

This is a product that is useful for police officers, CCW holders, or anyone who carries a flashlight. I recently got the bright-strike BD-1C-3W-MH, as a daily carry flashlight. It is the 90 Lumen, 3.5 inch, Momentary/high model. I must say that I am very pleased with it. I am a CCW holder, so I wanted to buy a quality light that would ride comfortably in my pocket.

I started out looking at Surefires and almost bought the E1E, until I compared it to the brite-strike. The brite-strike is nearly the same size, is 75 lumens more powerful, and the battery lasts longer. (Keep in mind though that the Surefire E1E is incandescent, and the brite-strike is LED.)

It has raised tri-crowns on both ends, so it is meant to be used as a self defense weapon. Personally I would only use it as a last ditch weapon to save my life, out of fear of civil liability. The crowns aren't really what attracted me to the light, it was the number of lumens and the size of the flashlight.

The only complaint I have is that you don't really have any warning that your battery is getting low. If it is getting low, the light just stops working about 50% of the time that you click it on. I just try to keep a rough estimate of how much time it has been on, and replace them before it gets to this point. (Battery time is 2 hours.)

So check it out if you get a chance. They are a bit pricey, but worth it.

$200??? I hope they are durable. I like the tactical balls, but I already have a set.
