Seems like it could be somewhat of a liability with the cuffing machanism (controling suspect=broken wrist: lawsuit)

Personal opinion, I think it looks bulky and hard to use, especially if the suspect is flailing around. You would have to get him to hold his arm still, which defeats the purpose of "not touching" the suspect. I don't know about liability, I guess you could break someone's rist with cuffs also.

I wouldn't even consider this thing for use in the field. Looks fine and dandy when the actors in the video are cooperating with the movements, but give me the old fashioned cuffs for field work.

Not just you. That thing is waaaaaaaay too big and bulky to actually carry on duty. It would be in the bottom of my gear.That thing is rediculous. Besides, you'd never even need to use it. You pull out that thing and most people are going to instantly comply before you use that bizare torture device.

Kinda cute but still way too big to comfortably carry on my duty belt.
