    Led?? Yes? No?

What is everyone's opinion on LED vs. Standard Light Bar ?? They say LED's can be seen further away and are much brighter. I would tend to agree at night this assumption can be presumed correct. However at day I often find it harder to see them. I am currently going to upgrade my take home patrol car, and am in need of suggestions. Anyone have any preferences or recommendations?

the AL highway patrol in my area just got the low-profile LED light bars. BRIGHT. They use Blue and clear. During the day I haven't seen much difference between LED vs. Halogen or strobes. The Black & White our department has is going turned into an unmarked cruiser. We took the lightbar off and ordered visor LEDs for it. I'll post a pic of it once it gets its silver paint job.
Why is it that all these jerkoffs seem to know about the right to remain silent, but I have yet to find one of them to actually exercise that right. -Legoate

LED's everytime, not only are they brighter but the lightbars can be a lot smaller and maintenance is virtually zero.

Yup! LED is the way to go. Less amp draw, brighter than strobe/hallogen during the day, downright annoying at night. With the prices dropping, they will be the standard over the next few years.

we got new LED's this past month, I was in lane of traffic, my supervisor was 7 blocks away and thought it was a fire truck, rather than my squad. Be careful though, some are almost too bright and can blind you if not careful.
