    Exactly... now I was a cheapskate and never cared about glare - until I had a pair of polarized!

    I'm the LEO, my freinds are the physic majors, but they ran it down something like: instead of light beams coming at your eyes from all angles (as with normal/no sunglasses) polarized lens cuts the light out from all other places but directly in front of you or something like that)
    *you can see fine where ever you look.. so I'm not sure thats the best way to explain it.

    Listen, all I know is, I bought a new car with awesome paint, and I spent hours washing/ clay baring/ waxing the car.... without glasses or unpolarized i couldn't only see the paint a bit, as the glare was killer.
    With the polarized ones, I could see the paint crystal clear, with only a tiny bit of sun reflection!! ..I'm a geek I know
