If you are going to use it for your "Security" job you need to speak with your supervisors. In most states for "Security" to carry any type of weapon they need to be certified and trained.

That training need to be on record with the "Security" company and it need to be approved by the "Security" company.

They are required to do this for insurance and liablility. If a "Security" officer uses any type of weapon a civil case can result and the "Security" company may be required to provide all training in the weapons that the person received. If they received not training there could be a large settlement against the "Security" company.

From reading your posts it appears that you have not consulted the mangement of the "Security" company to see what impact weapons they approve or the necessary training that you must attend before being allowed to carry a baton or any other type of weapon.

Thanks for bringing up the certification. I am still certified in the use of a collaspable baton and I will keep it current until I enter the academy. Just buying one to carry will get you into a world of **** real fast when you get stopped or when you pull it out to use it. If you don't know how to use it and where to strike then it could be taken away and used on you. Also if you hit someone in the wrong spot you can kill them very easily.

Dude I think you might want to edit that comment about us because it WILL come back to haunt you. Thus far I have been extremely civil to you, if you wish me to continue to be civil you will tone it down and knock off the "Look at me I'm Mr. Big" routine.
