NO problems with any Streamlight I ever owned.
We use the SL20X in our cruisers and they take a royal beating and have held up well. I have had my Stinger almost a year and it has worked fine. Streamlights are made in PA![]()

Don't forget the York peppermint patty, used to be made in my hometown but was farmed out to another part of the state.

ha ha I didn't know that. I remember the old commericals of York Peppermint Patties. Funny stuff.
I am going to buy a new flashlight here in the next few weeks. I will still carry my stinger, but I want something bigger with more light capability. I didn't like the "supossedy" 40,000 CP upgrade kit I got for my stinger.
I was either going to get a SL20 from streamlight or the new 40,000 cp maglite.
Anyone?

streamlight. MAG is over priced and FUGLY as all hell. DUDE get a Ultra Stinger 70,000 CP son.
no problems, at all. have had the same issued light in my 8th year. replaced maybe 2 batteries and 1 bulb

Yeah but this is longer and with the head it will fit in a C or D cell holder. Since the Ultra Stinger don't have a rubber grip it will fit in the ASP band rotatable ASP case.

Ultra Stinger 11.75 inches
20X 13 inches
OK, so I can't decide where to put my money. I like my stinger and I intend on keeping it. I want a bigger light that has more CP as my primary light. I'll keep my stinger as a backup.
Any suggestions? My top three choices are:
Maglite 40,000 cp
Streamlight sl20x 30,000 cp
Stinger Ultra 75,000 cp
I am leaning toward the stinger, but will it function like a large size light? Can I put it through a ring on my belt?

Bianchi accumold elite had a nice little loop that the ultra stingers fit through (as well as the normal stingers). They also drop nicely into a sap pocket if you have them on your pants. I have the Stinger HP and agree that it's uncomfortable to sit in the car with it in the loop...the Ultra will be similar...same head, same diameter of grip, just longer. It does put out a lot of light though, if I was going to get a full sized light I'd get the ultra stinger personally.
