I love my Point Blank! Very light and flexible (translated as comfortable). Make sure THEY measure you for it. If it's not right, THEY will replace it.

New preferably. I've looked around on Ebay but I'd rather go w/ one that's brand new w/ a warranty- that I can do something with if something doesn't work out w/ it
Well.........if it doesn't work then you won't need a new one will you? :D

I have a second chance monarch summit.....it is pretty good but I do not like the way the front panels are cut.....seems it leaves a lo topen on outter lung area. Also have Safariland Zero G Gold. Another comfortable vest. That weighs less than the monarch but both are recommended by me.
Does anyone have anything they're trying to sell?
You Can Get A Decent New Vest For $400 That Is Fitted To You Which Is The Most Important Factor. Is A Few Dollars Less Worth You Life In Am Is-fitted Used Vest? To Me It Is Not. (sorry My Caps Lock Is Broke!)
You know what's a PITA - trying to purchase a stinkin vest!
The issue before the latest POLICE MAGAZINE had a whole article on body armor, and even gave weblinks to check them out.
The problem is - the websites are USELESS. You can't even order direct from the sites, and they don't give you any prices. So how in the heck are you supposed to order? I'm sure LEO would have an easier time, but for me (a cadet and loss prevention agent) I haven't found ish'!
Oh yeah... and try to add FEMALE on to that.. I need a female carrier!

Switch, by comfortable would you also say that it's the "coolest" (temperature wise) that you've worn?Originally Posted by Switchback

Both Jason and I are dealers and sell vests. Mine are the Point Blank brand. Ticket him, or PM me if you want further information

Wowser, that was censored fast! Just posted that link because it has some great information aoubt vests, sorry bout that.
Best place to looks at vest prices are some of the main store
www.streichers.com
www.galls.com
Remember you really want to walk into a store that sells and fits vest so you get the right size. I would really never recommend any one just order a vest unless they are told exactally how to measure themselves for the vest to fit.
YOu need to have the right waist and torso measurements so the vest covers correct and is not too long or too short.
The link I provided was more about what material you should look at, but I just checked out the link I provided again and realized that it points out that Point Blank refused to participate in the Colorado Armor Bid, which would have assured compliance w/ NIJ standards prior to the sale. The vests were then going to be tested to Colorado standards over the next 4 years.
It does recommend one brand of vest, but more deals w/ materials used in vests, so it seemed pretty officer safety conscious to post that information. I posted at my Department. I didn't realize sales reps/mods would be censoring.
