The first question would be, what are you going to use the vest for? What are the main criteria?
Patrol use? Corrections? Undercover? Walking beat or drive a car? Male/female? What's the weather like in your part of the country?
I heartily agree with the fitting advice. A poorly fitted vest can make a shift hell, and here we only get new vests every 4 years.
