I have a few of the 5.11 Tactical t-shirts for hot weather. I also have the UA. I like the 5.11 better. They have cool arm-pit vent thingys! :DOriginally Posted by Rad Diver
I have ordered 2 Tees from the above company and all I can say is that they seem awesome. I have yet to receive the shirts (postage to Australia takes a bit of time) but the customer service was excellent and they answered emails really quickly. Plus postage in the US is included in the price of $7.95!!! Buy them sooner rather than later!!Originally Posted by arclight943

I finally got around to ordering some shirts from this company. Good service, great price. I called and an actual live person answered!! lol. Anyhow, I ordered one Dri Release and one Coolmax Extreme - no difference between the two and both work really well. I have noticed that my UA Loosegear shirt is a tad thinner than these two. Whatever, they all work as advertised and was pleased with the purchase.Originally Posted by aussie1

What problems have ya'll had with UA durability?
I still have my 5 shirts I took to the sandbox with me, wore daily, and they are still fine...
I must say, I loooove some underarmour. Didn't wear a regular t-shirt my entire tour!

Apparently all Under Armor shirts and similar synthetic fabric shirts (including all coolmax) have been banned by the US Army and possibly the Marines. From what I've understood the problem is they melt onto the body and cause more severe burns than with regular fabrics.
Walmart has an ever cheaper set than the Starter.
I've been wearing mine going on about 2 years and they are still working great. I think they were $10 per shirt.

5.11 Tactical also makes some comparable shirts. I haven't tried them yet, but they work on the same principals.
I have found that wearing the proper undershirt can help, but I am much happier with an overall better tactical vest cover. I bought mine at The Vest Man and the great thing about their product is that it is completely customed designed to fit your panels and you get to pick your own pockets; therefore it always fits properly. In addition, they use a breathable material that is not the heavy nylon we have all seen that just promotes sweating. Their website is thevestman dot com
Do you have a relationship of some kind to the vestman dot com? Of your five posts, four of them were referrals to the company. It is nice to refer someone to a company that you have had a good experience with, but you dug up at least one thread from almost two years ago to do this. And in this instance, your post had nothing to add to the t-shirt question. You are coming close to being labeled a spammer; be cautious.
