Have you folks managed to find the Starter turtlenecks without the embroidery??? I can't.

I don't want to spend all the money for a shirt to wear with the uniform if I have to make the collar look bad, and I can't have any markings on it.

Wal-mart here has the ones that only have a small screen print on the front and back. The shirts that I bought are dark blue and the small screen print is a reflective silver.

They are located in the sports appearl.

I'm referring to the turtle necks. We wear turtlenecks when we don't wear a tie with the winter uniforms, and I can't have any embroidery on the collar.

These don't have anything on the collar at all. There is only a small symbol on the chest and back.

Cool Max for me; they issued us U/A and we did not like it; also did not last as long as Cool Max......

I wear the starter stuff from Wal-Mart, haven't had a problem with it. Price is a lot cheaper than the U/A stuff too. I've never used U/A though so I can't really compare between the two.

I know they have black ones, I just bought 2 for this coming winter ski season since they're on sale. No embroidery anywhere. I think I saw fucshia and avacado too

I bought an Under Armour and one of the Starter ones...

I can't really tell a difference between the two...so I went and bought 2 more of the Starter shirts. I think I paid 9.99 a shirt plus tax... can't beat that.
I play Cops N Robbers for real...and its fun.

I have a question about this. I have used the Under Armor/Starter shirts under my uniform. I have found that they do keep me somewhat cool under my vest. Do the turtlenecks and longsleeves also keep you cool. After all they are made of the same material. This is the last thing I want when the temperature drops.

The shirts make you feel cooler because they wisk the moisture from yoru body and it dries quickly. They are also OUTSTANDING in cooler weather. I weat a cold gear tight one under a loose fit in winter all the time.

For those that don't know, the people in the projects leave their heat cranked and then just open windows, even when it is 10 below zero! (an awfully good use of our tax dollars, eh?) Well, when inside you get pretty toasty and you would normally freeze your butt off, going outside. These shirts make it very comfortable. They are great for all season. In the cold it is all about layering up!

He played football for the University of Maryland. In fact, UA makes their
uniforms and Maryland's Coach Friedgen appeared in one of their earleir commercials.

EDIT- Hahahahah. I just noticed that the original question was asked on 8/8/04. Well JBU2010, its been over a year, but you can finally get a good night sleep knowing the answer to your question. :D

To mess with the police when we show up to the apartments/houses. They know that we are in and out of heat and cold all day long, they just like to make it more diffult on us is all.

    Cheaper Coomax Shirts

For those that like the Coolmax shirts, here's a link to some priced at $7.95 ea. These are supposedly overruns or slightly imperfect. I haven't purchased from this site yet, so I can not comment on quality of product or service.
