Remember those who died, remember those who killed them.
I see, The RRB is ...les lethal though,![]()
so were Sai's at one time, that's why they were allowed to be carried
it is a useful tool though if used correctly that's for sure. For a straight stick baton sure I'd give it a whirl, but do they make collapseable versions of it to?

Nope, they carrying case is great though.
Goes on your left, or right (whatever your dominate hand...) and goes straight up your back. Sounds like it is uncomfortable, but it is really nice. The PD loves it.![]()
No thanks I will stick with the old reliable PR-24 (expandable) or my ASP.
The RRB is pretty impressive. Prior to completing the Master Instructor training, I figured it was just a toy that looked like an Okinawan Sai. After the training, I was most impressed and would not go back to a straight baton or PR-24. You can do much more with the RRB.
Yeah, once you know how to use it, you can do some amazing tricks with it. (Or so ive seen)Originally Posted by tcbphoto
Hey, I remember these things! The company I worked for was going to require we all buy them. Most of us had just went out and bought our ASP, Sidebreak Scabard, etc, and then the Lt. in charge was going, "You will all transition to the RRB."
We never gave it a fair chance, because when your buying your equipment, and they don't take it back at the uniform shop... Yeah. We stuck with our ASPs.
Every time someone pulled that baton here the chief and the media would get a thousand calls that the cops are using swords. That thing looks too cumbersome to me. As good as the PR-24 is you had to practice it a lot to maintain proficiency with everything you could do with it. That RRB thing looks like the same problem.
You will never get me to carry cuffs that big and bulky either. I'm the biggest cop-gadget-freak you can meet and neither of those things look appealing in the least.
