It probably doesn't matter. I use a Bianchi with the nylon weave.
Some guys cut off the flap. It just seems to get in the way, and there is enough tension to seat the flashlight anyways.
I agree, and am debating cutting the flap off, too.

my stinger never comes off my belt. I have a holder that the light slips into, it has no bottom or top, its like an inch and a half high and basically a circle ring type that the light slides into. i've been over fences, in tussles, anything you could imagine. they hold the light tight enough.

Also the kind of cuff cases I use:

get the type without the flap and a covered bottom. An Asp holder will actually work for your stinger. The reason I go without a flap is that when you need it, it comes out fast, and when you have to reholster after you got your bad guy there is no flap in the way. I had one with the flap when i first got my light and i ended up cutting the flap off. LOL. Then i got the type above, and i've been happy with it.

I never liked open handcuffs. I could see a tree branch snagging them and pulling them out. Plus, they make great weapons for bad guys to grab onto and swing around.

god I hate the normal 'ring' light holders. My light 'has' fallen out quite a few times when I'm running with that thing.

We aren't talking about a cheap ring, we are talking about a leather holster. Look at the link:Originally Posted by ngcsubutterbar

I didn't say that. I said get one without a flap. A covered bottom is ok, no problems with that. Its just the pesky flap gets in the way more than needed. And you'll find the light won't fall out as much as u think it will. It will fit snuglyOriginally Posted by explorer949

I have the same problem, except I have a bright yellwo Polystinger (actually my dad's, but i use it for duty).
So, I need to cover it as well as possible, else it will attract too much attention, which would not be good. Right now I keep it in my pocket when I am out on something where I might need it, like a T-stop.
