I carry both sets hinged for 90 percent and chain for the other. I like the restriction and control the hinged provide.

I've not had any experince with them, but from what I have read the hinged cuffs are the better option. As they keep the prisoners hand movements to a minimum and allow you more control.

I carried a pair of each. I prefered the hinged, but on some folks the arms would not get close enough to cuff with the hinged. And on really big guys, two sets of cuffs were required.
