CBP hiring for Border Patrol Agent?

Hello all,

It's been awhile since I've been on the forum and I'm not quite sure as to whether or not I should have posted this here, or in the Federal Questions section so pardon me if I have posted in the wrong section...

Recently, CBP opened a hiring pool for Border Patrol Agent positions, which closed on 10/27/2011 and I unfortunately missed my chance to apply this time around (I just happened to check with CBP.gov on the 28th only to learn that I missed my chance by a few hours!!!!)

Does anyone have an idea as to when they may open another hiring pool again? Do they typically open them in intervals? Does CBP offer notification of future openings via email as some local PD's do?

I cant find much info on CBP.gov and would greatly appreciate any information from anyone with inside knowledge. Thank you all!

You can sign up for job opening notifications for pretty any federal job on usajobs.com.

were always hiring for BP Agent and CBP Officer... Sign up for notification on USAJOBS and just check like once a week or two. I'll try to post if I hear of anything coming up.

I don't know if you are monitoring this thread still, but to let you know, we are now hiring in CBP as of this past Wed.
