If you have been drinking.....and you get in your car and go to sleep without driving somewhere....is that illegal???

I assume that if you are behind the wheel, even if the car is shut off in a parking lot, it is illegal???

Depends on a few different factors. Part of the verbeage of Arizona's DUI law is "actual physical control" of a motor vehicle. Driving down the road is not the only way to get a DUI here.

What do you mean by illegal? If you mean DUI the answer is no.
To be charged with DUI you would have to be in immediate actual physical control of a motor vehicle that is in motion or has its engine running.
