Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

I've been at Crossfit for almost a month now, and am seeing tremendous gains in strength and endurance. I built my own gym as I didn't want to pay for the actual Crossfit gyms (a bit over $100/ mth in my area).
You can go to Welcome to CrossFit: Forging Elite Fitness and get the Workout of the Day (WOD) or set it up to come to you via Email or Blackberry..etc daily. It is always different and challenging.
Highly recommended!![]()

**DISCLAIMER** I'm not a current LEO, but have six years experience with two city PD's in NC and TX as a sworn officer. I'm in the process of returning to LEO work ASAP.
Really wish I could afford to do that. Either way, Sarge doesn't have the skrilla for Crossfit. :(

If you don't mind buying used, you can put together a decent set of equipment for not that much cheddar... E.g. I recently got a used squat rack in decent shape with a built in pull up bar for $25 via Craigslist. You can find all sorts of weights, bars, dumbbells, racks/stands, etc in the sporting goods section... If you don't have much room/equipment, you can still kick your own butt with a medicine ball and a deck of cards...![]()

Hate to drag up an old thread, but I'm in a similar situation and wanted to share how I got my training straightened out.
I weight train twice a week, once a heavy lower body day the other a heavy upper body day (Tue and Fri respectively). Wed and Sat I go to the boxing gym and run a few miles. I had to arrange it specifically around my shift and pass days, but once you get it going it's not bad at all. The main thing was adjusting to a more abbreviated weight training routine which actually has me making great gains lately.
