    Warrior Diet

Anyone ever heard of it? Done it? Know someone that has done it? Results of said diet?

Seems completely illogical and opposite from everything I've ever read about fitness (coming from someone that has lost over 200lbs - I've done some research) but the guy makes a point. Is he a nut of does this thing makes sense on a strange level?

    Warrior Diet

A co-worker showed it to me and wanted my input, knowing my past, also stating that a friend of his (his former trainer) has been doing it and is completely shredded now. He works out as he always has but looks totally different from ever before. I want more info but am cheap and don't know if I want to buy the book.:D

Sounds like just another "diet plan" to sell. Of course undereating will make you lose weight. Thats been proven in concentration camps worldwide. Look at that dude's picture on his banner. Does he look happy? I mean, doesnt he just look hungry?

When I saw the name Warrior Diet I expected a high fat, high complex carb regimine. All trail mix all the time kinda thing. As far as the science, It's possible, but I want to see the blood work and the research. It's not a really new idea, either. Maybe 10 years ago a diet was proposed in bodybuilding called ABC or Anabolic Burst Cycling. The idea was a few days caloricaly restricted, - severely - followed by a couple days of gorging. The theory was that the starving primed your body for absorption, setting up an anabolic state. Then when you starting stuffing, the body 'saw' the food, turned on the anabolic process in overdrive, and sucked up nutrents like a sponge. It never really caught on.

Don't buy the book. I found it at my local public library.
Of every one hundred men, ten should not even be here. Eighty are nothing but targets. Nine are real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the One... One of them is a Warrior... He will bring the others back.

and did you read it? I read the stuff on the site and was intrigued. When I don't eat I get a little nauseous and dizzy. With all the internals of my body not really functioning properly and getting nauseous/dizzy anyway, I am not going to be trying this but I was curious about it. Some of the stuff he said makes sense in paper but I am just not willing to try it right now. Maybe after the surgery.....if this one works:rolleyes:

He does look hungry and not happy at all. I think my male PMS would kick in and I'd start getting angry. Never heard of the other one but that does sound like the same thing. This is the first time I've heard of it and it goes against EVERYTHING I've ever read/learned about "dieting".

I started reading the book and quickly stopped. If you Google "Paleo diet" it's very similar. I just wasn't enthused about trying to starve myself for 20 hours a day. First time I saw a picture of Ori, I thought he was a concentration camp survivor. Doesn't really look "healthy." Looks more like a chemo patient, really. Not exactly what I want to look like.

I instantly thought of what I looked like after not eating for a full week. I went from a Fri at 1100 (salad) to the following Fri at 1900 (soup) without eating anything and then continued to eat very little. I was getting dizzy spells and felt like I was gonna pass out after eating. Not good considering I did pass out 2x at a restaurant while on vacation out of state - that was awesome. You guys have strengthened my original thoughts on this diet and I'm gonna pass it along to my co-worker. Thanks

No way...my friend tried this, and I tried to tell him 40 times that he was in idiot if he bought the course and tried it. He couldnt stay on it because he got stomach pains when he was in the "under" phase.

Virtually 99% of nutritionists, doctors, PT's, etc., agree that 4-6 small meals a day is best for every part of your body.
