    Favorite workout?

    There are always a lot of questions in this forum, so lets get an input thread going. There's always a part/workout that is your favorite, or "least hated" part.

    What's your favorite area to work out? Biceps, triceps, chest, etc..

    Also, what's your favorite workout?

    For me, it's triceps, but my favorite workout is the individual barbell chest press (incline and 0 degree).

    Hmmm... I really love my flat bench... but that is boring, wouldn't yoiu say?

    ...outside of that, I LOVE doing pull-ups. I was doing them with dumbells hooked between my ankles. I would do as many as I could, drop the weight, and continue to failure. I do 3 sets with wide-grip, palms out and then 3 sets with neutral grip.

    When I got to the heavier weights, it started hurting the elbows. Now days, I use a 15lb medicine ball, pinned between my knees. I raise my knees out in front of me at a 90 degree angle and then do as many pullups as possible, drop the ball and then go to muscle failure with my knees still held at 90 degrees. I still do the 6 sets, as before.

    That starts my back day.

    My favorite day is definitely back/ bi day. Not so much for the bis though, I actually don't really like doing them. But I LOOOVE one-end barbell rows. It's my core lift on back days, depending on where I'm at in my program. Not too many people do, but I swear by it.

    Alternately, when one-end barbell row is not on the schedule, I do what I call a "back complex." It consists of doing barbell row, then without skipping a beat, romanian deads, then shrugs. All with the same bar, never changing grip. Each excercise is 5 reps (15 reps per set) for 5 sets. It works all the muscles in the back without over working any of them.

    Also up there is lat-pulldowns. I got a killer lat spread ;)

    Some of my favs: Pushups (cranking out as many as I can in a minute as a warmup to my chest workout), bench press, stiff legged dead lift, hanging leg lefts (for the abs).

    Least favs: running alone, tricep workout (cause mine are weak), pullups (again, cause I suck at them)

    Bikram Yoga. A room heated to approx 105 degrees, a series of 26 poses that work everything. After 90 minutes I'm feeling fluid, bendy, rejuvenated, sweaty, and I've burned 700 calories or so. And I get to wear little yoga shorts. :D

    Call me a glutton for punishment, but I love my workouts. I love challenging myself physically and I am addicted to the way I feel after a good workout. The whole, wore-out, dripping in sweat and feeling completely alive. As for a favorite portion or specific exercise, I'd have to say it's a three-way tie between my runs, squats and beating a heavy bag! Sadly, I do not have an area to hang my heavy bag where I am currently living...but that could/should be changing inside of the next month or two. :D :D
