    Crossfit!

Is anyone here involved in Crossfit? I am not myself, but I've heard great things about this program and would like to get involved in it in the future.

What do you all think about it?

I did it for awhile, and it works as advertised. Improves overall fitness, flexibility, cuts some body fat, and all that good stuff. There are, however, a lot of things that it doesn't do. Plus it's a program designed to be used in conjunction with an athletic lifestyle, so it doesn't give you everything you need with just the workouts of the day.

Also, almost more than other workouts, the results depend entirely on how hard you push yourself through the workout of the day.

Still, it's a very FAST workout, its effective, and it's always different so it's fun. Have at it.

I do a combination of Crossfit, Rosstraining, and Underground Strength Training. Like the previous poster stated, if you're not willing to go at it hard, don't bother with it b/c you will be cheating yourself. Crossfit has a multitude of workouts under the exercises&demos section on their webpage where you can watch videos for more choices. The good thing about this form of training is that it is only limited by your imagination. I could not even think about being one of those people who do chest one day, back one day, biceps one day, etc. in the gym. I try to be as "functional" with my workouts as possible and I don't ever forsee myself bicep curling anyone so I don't do them. But then again, I'm not one who thinks the guys or girls in the Muscle&Fitness magazines look good. Hell, half of them would gas after 2 minutes if they had to apply any intensity at all.
