Has anyone used Icy/Hot for muscle soreness? And if so does it work?

It helps a little, but DOMS is really only cured with time and rest.

A hot bath with epsom salt would help. Massage, accupuncture, l-glutamine works for some people, increasing potassium intake can alleviate some of the pain, anti-inflamitories (don't take too many, or too often), a trip to the sauna, and, of course, rest. Any of these will help.
When you wish upon a falling star, your dreams can come true. Unless it's really a meteor hurtling to the Earth which will destroy all life. Then you're pretty much hosed no matter what you wish for. Unless it's death by meteorite.

When I was in the Army this was obviously a problem. The best solution is good stretching. Sometimes we were given motrin (don't know if it worked)

When I was done with our road marches I always took a couple motrin tried to stretch out as much as possible and put a hot bag of rice on the sore spots.
