    Physical Test/Interview

Ok....so I am scheduled for my interview early next month for a federal officer position and I am doing great in all my physical test requirements. I have one question though. I am wondering what to eat the morning of the test? I am going to be there at 7 am and it is over an hour drive from my house. I need something that will keep me strong all morning but will not hold me back....if that makes sense. I am no nutritionist so if anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Also...a new question....does anyone know what form you have to do your sit-ups and push ups in order for them to count it as one?? For example, where do you place your arms during the sit-ups? How far down do you have to go to count for a push up? They are pety questions, I know...I am just curious. Thanks.

Carbs = energy. In high school, football players would always have pasta parties before games. Why would they do this? simple, pasta is a good source of carbs, the pasta goes in your body at night and your body breaks it down. Hence giving you more energy in the morning. Too much carbs though= carbs being stored as fat. The hence of this little lesson, eatting a healthy breakfast is ofcourse important! oatmeal is my suggestion for you! However, load up on some carbs the night before, and go light on breakfast. A heavy breakfast can lead to your stomach being fuller hence your body having to work that much harder. As for the for question, i have no idea how they will ask you to do them. I did personal training for acouple of years, the rule of thumb for pushups is usually go down to aboout 90 degrees with your arms and extend upwards however do not lock out your elbows!

Thanks a lot for the info Lax. I was planning on doing the pasta at night but for the morning of I really had no clue. I would imagine a bagel would work about the same, correct? I only ask because oatmeal usually sits in my stomach kind of heavy. I was also thinking I should eat a fruit but wasn't sure if one would be better than the other. Thanks again.

As long as its not too heavy it will do fine. Dont expect miracles, however the carbs prob. will give you that extra boost you may need!
