    Is this a good routine?

    I do this 4 to 5 days a week
    200 crunches (50 x 4)
    30-50 pushups (3-5 x 10)
    50-100 jumping jacks (1-2 x 50)

I have some serious fat to burn, as I am 5'10 and weigh 180 or so.
Any suggestions, tips, pointers for me
    Thanks

It is better than my routine
    7 days a week
    0 push ups
    0 sit ups
    0 jumpin jacks
    :D

Seriously though any routine you have is better than nothin.
Just keep up a good diet and maybe run a couple miles 2 or 3 times a week.
I have been trying to get into getting back in shape myself but I have found I am to lazy This is the routine I have been thinkin about though.

    Week 1
    Running
    2 miles/day, 8:30 pace
    Mon/Wed/Fri
    Pushups*
    4 sets of 15 pushups
    Mon/Wed/Fri
    Situps*
    4 sets of 20 situps
    Mon/Wed/Fri
    Pullups*
3 sets of 3 pullups (chin bar)
    Mon/Wed/Fri
    Swimming**
    Swim continuously for 15 min.

As the weeks progress you do a little more. Obviously this is a pretty excessive program for some (including me) but it is a good schedule and somethin routine. better than waking up and trying to figure out what you are gonna do. This program gives a goal.
Here is the complete program http://www.pytlik.com/escape/navyseals2.html

While I sit at my son's computer, I am reading this thread, and watching my 15 year old son do 100 various sit-ups & pull ups & bicep exercises....

5'10" @ 180lb's is proportional to height and weight. Did you flop that zero and one by mistake? If so, then yeah you do need to lose some weight, but I would not understand the urgency if you are really those other measurements.

I like how you lead off with "180 or so..." :D

Last school year, I was on the wrestling team. Though that was just middle school, I went from a fat 230 pounds to just less than 200 pounds. Wrestling every day for 2 months decreased the fat in my body and increased my neck and back muscles.
It works, I haven't found any conventional exercising that works for me as well as wrestling did. Though after a few bloody ears, noses, and turf toes, I don't really want to do it over again.

Hey, There is nothing wrong with a man with a little meat on his bones. Trust me. The scrawny ones are no good. My father is 6' 0" and weighs in at 220-230. The man just would not look like a man without that extra weight. He would look like some kind of sick high school boy.

5'10 180lbs is a good weight to be at. Just make sure its muscle, and make sure you run. Running is excellent mental training - makes you able to push yourself when you are exhausted.

    That routine looks good.

If you find yourself able to do it easy then I'd probably go for more pushups and less sets.

Try working up to a set of 100 for fun.
