when everyone took the phys. agility test, if u remember, when u did the sit ups was it with ur arms across ur chest or hands locked behind ur head.

depends on the agency. i know one that you have to have your fingers locked tight behind your head. they will not count any sit up where your fingers slip. i know others who only require you to have your hands cupping your ears.

All i remember in my very first PAT was that I put my hands behind my head locked them as tight as possible, and went as hard as i could for a minute.

We had to have the hands behind the head. Any other position can do ears cupped but not when testing for LEO here

My department allows you to do sit-ups with your hands behind your head, cupping your ears, or across your chest. I personaly like to do them with my hands cupping my ears.

I did a PAT where the situps were with hands behind the ears, another one had the hands locked behind the head. It'll vary from department to department.

No sit-ups for the LAPD PAT, but in the Academy you do it with your arms folded across your chest.
