    Diet

I've been getting back into shape this last month and have already noticed some change in my body. Increased muscle and looser fitting jeans. I'm currently 5'11''-215lbs. I do upper/lower body alternating days with at lest 2 days off somewhere in the middle. I think I have a pretty good routine down but the only thing lacking is a good diet. I take a vitamin daily. I'm a meat a potatoes kind of guy and will not eat veggies. What types of meals would you recommend for my type of diet?

    Abolutely none?

It's extremely important to consume foods from all five food groups because there are nutrients in each that cannont be found in the others.

Well the best advice I can give you is to incorporate a larger amount of fruit into your diet and make up for nutrients that you'll be missing from vegetables (ex beta carotene) by vitamin supplements.

Man, you gotta eat some vegetables. I don't care how much you exercise, if all you eat is meat and potatoes, you are going to have a heart-attack or cancer when you are 50.

If you just can't bring yourself to eat vegetables, go stock up on vitamins that have anti-oxidants, beta-carotene, vitamins, minerals, the whole bit. While you are at it start taking metemucil (sp?) everyday. Your body needs fiber, and your colon will thank you later.

    Good Luck!

Thank you for the advice. By making the staement of eating meat and potatoes I was not declaring that was all that I ate. I just ment it as a reference to my diet being bland.

Cut your carbs and sugar, you will see an improvement right off the bat. Good Luck.
