    proper training ideas.

hi. my situation is the following.

i have always wanted to be a police officer. my parents are both teachers and eduction is important in my family. i have gone through both college and university. now i must return to college yet again to take my police courseload.

because i have already done and completed college before, this time around they have opted to place me in the "intense" program. this means no language courses, physical fitness, complimentary courses etc. obviously they must have specialized phys ed courses in the police technology program which i wont be taking.

i would like to know of any regiments/programs/schedules i should be following to keep in top shape as my peers. what do you guys suggest?

    thanks

I don't know how it works in Canada, but here in the US, if you already have a degree you do not need another in Criminal Justice. Though there are some degrees that might be more desirable than others, just having a degree is typically sufficient. However, in some cases a degree isn't required at all.

Since you already have a degree, from what it sounds like, you would probably be better off utilizing your time and/or money either getting yourself POST (or whatever the Canadian equivalent is) certified and getting a gym membership.

    That's just my opinion though.

As far as what type of a training program, it would depend on what fitness level you are at now. Take a look at http://www.t-nation.com. They have many programs for you to consider, ranging from beginner to advanced. Do your research first and don't just get a trainer. Although they can be helpful, some of them know very little.
