So, I was playing in a soccer game today... 30 seconds into the second half I was chasing this guy down the field and I felt someone kick me HARD in the left calf. I stopped, turned around with clinched fist (ready to punch some dude out) and there was no one there. Confused, I turned and tried to run after the guy with the ball again and I collapsed.
It was at that moment that I realized I tore my calf!!! :mad:
I immediately thought of two things:
1) Having to endure 6-8 months of rehab
2) How can I make this an on-duty injury? :D
I hate getting old!!

That's why they wont let us have shift football games. :D I think they'd allow soccer but besides me I don't know anyone that plays it.

Why is it no matter what sport it is, put cops in it, and several people are out of commision for weeks? lol
My department had a fundraiser softball tourney a couple of months ago department wide.
I believe it was 6 people injured, one of which is from our shift and he shattered his ankle sliding into home base. He's out for several months on light duty.

Been running for 28 yrs and never had so much as a pulled muscle
But I am careful otherwise and don't play football or other such rough sports. I need my job more than I need to play a game !
You can play sports over 30 BUT you MUST be in the proper shape to do it.
My recent shoulder operations had nothing to do with sports , one was on-duty and the other actually happened 22 yrs ago.Creeper Cop
