    diet

I've been focusing on calorie intake lately, doing everything I can to get the weight lower, but I need some numbers.

I am currently 310 and 6'4". I need to know the total caloric intake I should be getting.

Eating 5-6 smaller meals a day with vitamins, green tea, fish oil, lifting and running it's been working - lost over 100 lbs and put on significant muscle gains in the last year.

I tried doing 1 for 1 with protein grams to body weight but I didn't like how it made me feel so I've been focusing less on the rediculous amounts of proteins and more on calories and fat.

Today I had 1255 calories, 20.9g fat and 115.2g of protein. That's a little lower on the protein than I am used to, I usually get about 175-200 but I missed a protein shake today.

I've been kicking my *** but I clearly need to do a little more than I have been cause I had to turn down an offer last week cause I couldn't pass the PT - that really pissed me off.

its tough to gauge your caloric intake, All of our metabolisms run differently. For me I stuck with smaller portions i ate about 4 small meals a day and really busted my rear at the gym and the track, lost 20 lbs and put on substantial muscle but like I said all bodies are different. Good luck to you!

what you really want to do is take this test that measures your rest metabolic rate. This basically tells you how many calories you burn not doing anything through out your whole day. From here, you plug the numbers into an equation and it will tell you exactly how many calories you should be intaking to lose X amount of weight. If youre really interested, ill go find all the equations out cause i have them in my folder from when i used to work as a trainer. Honestly, this stuff really works but the machine, its a breathing caliber machine (I forgot what the exact name was), is something you would only find at a gym. The most accurate way to figure out how many calories you should be intaking though

If it's not too much trouble I would like to get my hands on the equations. Then I would just have to find one of these machines :D
