I used it (along with protein) while in Iraq for 6 months. I can't say if it was the creatine, the protein, the eating 4 meals a day or just adhereing to a good program, but I had pretty good results. I threw on about 15 lbs (good weight) and my bench is up to about 285. That's anout 50lbs or so higher than what it was when I started.
That being said, everything I have heard supports protein and a good diet being much better bang for your buck. If you are already doing protein and a decent diet, then the creatine really can't hurt.
I hav eheard of the creatine messing you up (cramps, etc.) when not properly hydrated, so keep that in mind. It was 115 outside when I started taking it and I never had problems, but I drank a ton of water... which you should be doing anyways.
