Good news. Everybody still alive according to a local police website:
Two US Marshals and one SLPD Officer were shot this morning in the line of duty when a suspect opened fire as officers were serving a warrant in the 3100 block of Osage.
One critically-injured US Marshal was erroneously reported as having died. It has been CONFIRMED that this Marshal has not died, and is still in emergency surgery.
Both two injured US Marshals had been rushed to SLU Hospital. The second Federal Marshall has been listed as being in fair condition.
The SLPD Officer, a 34 year year veteran detached to the US Federal Marshals' Office, was injured by a bullet ricochet and a subsequent fall and was rushed to Barnes-Jewish Hospital He has been treated and did not require any surgery.
Please pray for the all the injured officers and their families especially the critically-injured Marshal.
Three children were safely moved from the home before the gunfire, and the suspect's family pleaded for his peaceful surrender. The suspect proclaimed that he would "going out in a body bag" and has been confirmed dead.
Further information will be disseminated as it becomes available.
