The world is flat going crazy. Pisses me off.
It's been a really rough week for the agency. :(

Two were in Miami and two in St. Petersburg.
Prayers for the DUSM and the families of the officers. The following account is the stuff that allows gets to me. Selfless.
An officer and marshal were hit first when they tried to arrest Lacy, Puetz said. Later, police attempted a rescue in which they pulled the marshal out and that's when one of the rescuers was fatally shot.

I will never understand what's wrong with people...
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the fallen officers...stay safe out there everyone.
The scary thing is as time progresses the job itself will become increasingly more dangerous...people now a days have no respect for another human life whatsoever, this is just the beginning...THANK GOD there are brave men and women that take the intuitive to face this and attempt to make a change, Bless those that face the ultimate sacrifice, it is sad :( and to think Yaslowitz was finished with his shift.... that is tough..... a true hero...
The POS that killed these hero's is hopefully rotting in hell right now.
Report from AG on shooting. Lots of heroism.

In case people can't download report, here's some points. There is a particularly evil action highlighted. It's clear he just wanted to kill police officers and didn't care who or why. He wasn't acting out of fear or an attempt to escape, he was attempting to murder as many officers as possible.
1. The wife lied initially about the fugitive being in the house. They believe she moved the ladder he used to get in the attic so it wouldn't appear anyone climbed up there.
2. K9 unit cleared first floor. DUSM and K9 officer went into attic. On way down, K9 officer spotted subject. DUSM went back uo and provided cover as officer went to handcuff. fugitive indicated he surrendered.
3. Fugitive shot K9 officer with 9mm twice in the head, killing him instantly. DUSM returned fire and was wounded.
4. DUSM and other officers retreated to location inside house and were pinned down with fire.
5. Fugitive moved body of K9 officer 20-30 ft so that his boot was showing in attic entry to bait officers to attempt rescue while in his line of fire. He tied the body with ductwork so that he could not be pulled down through the attic entrance.
6. During rescue attempt fugitive shot and killed responding officer attempting to reach the DUSM and other officers.
7. Fugitive lied about surrendering and about the condition of K9 officer to lure other officers into line of fire. Negotiators offered to be hostages so that wounded K9 officer could get treatment for the shoulder injury the fugitive was claiming the officer had.
8. Fugitive was shot and killed by rescuers firing through the ceiling. He had been calling friends and family to say goodbye while "negotiating" with police.
9. House was razed as a hazard to neighbors due to 120 tear gas canisters inserted during operation and damage caused during rescue.
