Two CHP officers were contacted by the manager of a Walgreens Pharmacy that an armed robbery was in progress. The officers called for Oakland (CA) PD to respond. As they approached the location, one suspect exited the building and began firing. One CHP officer was hit - not life threatening. The suspect was shot and killed. A second suspect was captured later as he attempted to escape.

Rumor on the street is the officer may have been hit by friendly fire. The officer was hit in the back and leg.
