Grant Alabama Chief of Police Verlon Lemaster killed in the line of duty

I'm sorry to inform everyone that another one of the fine men and women that serve and protect us was shot and killed by a 17 yr. old while trying to serve a pick up order on Friday. Verlon Lemaster was the Chief of police in Grant, Alabama. He was a wonderful policeman as well as a wonderful person. He went above and beyond the call of duty to help the people in his community as well as the surrounding communities. He was greatly loved and will be missed. God Speed Chief.

Coming from a family of law enforcement, I know what it is like to watch your father, mother, brother or sister walk out the door and wonder if they'll come home safely. So my prayers go out to the Chief's family in their time of loss. God chose a great angel to watch over my brothers and all those who serve and protect us everyday.

May god be with him and his family.
Proud to be an AMERICAN serving the greatest country on earth in the U.S. Air Force.

All men are not created equal only the finest become policemen.
